I wrote this over a year ago and i really to re-read this again tonight because my family is being horrible and negative to me.  I AM WHO I AM DONT BRING ME DOWN!!!  You are my  MOTHER, and all I get from you is negativity and complaints. 

Positive Outlook

I'm writing this to myself right now to remind me not to be discouraged by the negativity of parental influences.  I am doing just fine as it is and I don't need to listen to the negative c omments made about me.  I would rather spend my time fostering positive relationships with people who are encouraging to me, and support my decisions and believe in me.  Not those who will drag me down in a shroud of negativity and complaints.  I am confident in myself and it doesn't matter what she says because I believe in myself, my ambitions, my efforts and accomplishments.  I am responsible, I am organized and I do have good time management.  No matter what she says, I am who I am, I am happy with myself, I am satisfied with what I've done and I will continue to have a positive outlook on the things I do.  I will focus on the positive sides of things and be thankful for my strengths and take steps to improve my weaknesses.  I am not making excuses for myself nor is ignoring her negativity hiding from her "realistic", stinging "advice".  Because, in the end, it's what I believe about myself which matters the most because I will be there for myself when no one else will.
